Interminable

Interminable is a Philly-based band creating original music in Spanish, weaving together Mexican son jarocho, jazz, and rock to celebrate queer and trans, Black and brown voices. By bringing together powerhouse musicians deeply versed in a multitude of genres, they create a new musical world where all our worlds can fit. Their energetic, inspirational live shows remind us of the joy we can forge when we come together in song and celebration. Their recorded works incorporate musical textures that transcend genre, taking listeners on a journey across ancestral memory and self-empowerment.

Born out of a chance encounter on the train in 2015, Interminable debuted a week later, opening for cumbia supergroup Viento Callejero. Over these last 11 years, the band has amassed an impressive portfolio, playing across the East Coast and Mexico with renowned artists like Reyna TropicalLas Cafeteras, and La Santa Cecilia. They headlined Philly’s Latin Punk Fest, the Porchfest Afterparty, and performed sold-out shows at the Mann CenterWorld Café Live, and as a featured artist with Journey Arts.

The musicians of Interminable create a singular blend – bandleader Ximena Violante on vocals, electric guitar, and jarana, a guitar-like Mexican instrument.

Entrance to the garden is fully accessible.
